"Bookmaking: An Evening with Natalie Babbitt"

  • Lecture and booksigning by noted author and illustrator Natalie Babbitt. Reception to follow. To read a brief biography about Natalie Babbitt, please follow this link.

  • Also, featuring a new interview, "A Visit with Natalie Babbitt." The interview will be included on the upcoming DVD for Tuck Everlasting, which will be released in 2003. Please note that we *will not* be showing the movie Tuck Everlasting as announced in some recent advertisements for the Book Fair. We apologize for this error and regret any inconvenience. We hope that you will join us to hear Natalie on Friday evening, November 8th!

"11th Annual Connecticut Children's Book Fair"

  • Two days of fun for the whole family! Featuring presentations and book signings by well known authors and illustrators.

  • Storytelling, crafts, holiday shopping, and storybook characters will be available throughout the Book Fair.

  • New to this year's event: children's music! Join Mary Wilsted and friends on Saturday and Sunday for sing-a-longs at 10:45 am and 1:45 pm.

  • Please Note: The 2002 Connecticut Children's Book Fair will be held in a new location this year, the South Campus Ballroom. Where is the South Campus Ballroom? Please visit the Directions page on this website for more information and a map of the Rome Ballroom during the Book Fair.
