Directions to UConn at Storrs
| Take
I-84 East/West to Exit 68. Travel south on Route 195 about 7 miles
to the Storrs campus.
You will cross over the intersection of Routes 195 and 44---known as Mansfield Four Corners---after
approximately 6 miles.
Proceed through
the Route 195/44 intersection and travel about 1 mile to the
Storrs Campus.

The Connecticut Children's
Book Fair will be held in the Rome Commons Ballroom, Rome Hall,
South Campus Complex, at the University of Connecticut, Storrs.

to the Rome Commons Ballroom, Rome Hall, South Campus Complex
From the WEST (Hartford, Western CT & New York): Take I-84 East to Exit 68 and turn right off the exit ramp onto Route 195 South. Follow signs to UConn, passing through the intersection of Route 32, then through the intersection of Route 44. At the first major intersection on campus (North Eagleville Road & Route 195), you will see the Storrs Congregational Church (a brick church with white trim) on your right. Counting this red light, stay straight until the 4th red light. (You will pass Mirror Lake on your right.) Take a right at this red light onto Mansfield Road. Take the first left onto Coventry Road. Parking: There is a large parking lot to the right. Or, you may wish to park in the South Garage. Look for large sandwich-board Book Fair signs. The Book Fair is in the Rome Commons Ballroom, located on the
second floor of the building known as Rome Hall.
From the EAST (Providence): Take Route 6 West to Route 195 North. Travel approximately 7 miles on Route 195. Counting from the red light at the intersection of Routes 195 & 275 (South Eagleville Road), stay straight until the 4th red light, where you will see Mirror Lake ahead on your left. Turn left at this red light onto Mansfield Road. Take the first left onto Coventry Road. Parking: There is a large parking lot to the right. Or, you may wish to park in the South Garage. Look for large sandwich-board Book Fair signs. The Book Fair is in the Rome Commons Ballroom, located on the second floor of the building known as Rome Hall.
From the EAST (Boston & Eastern MA): Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to I-84 West. Follow I-84 to Exit 68. Turn left off the exit ramp onto
Route 195 South. Follow the directions from the WEST.
From the SOUTH (Southeastern CT & the Eastern Shoreline):
Take I-95 North to I-395 North. Take Exit 81 West, connecting to Route 32 North. Follow Route 32 North to Willimantic. (Upon entering Willimantic,
you will see a large bridge on your right.) Go right onto the bridge, staying straight after passing through the red light at the opposite end. You will be on Jackson Street. Go through 3 redlights. The third red light intersects with Route 195. Follow Route 195 North for approximately 8 miles to the UConn campus. Counting from the red light at the intersection of Route 195 & 275 (South Eagleville Road), stay straight until the 4th red light, where you will see Mirror Lake ahead on your left. Turn left at this red light onto Mansfield Road. Take the first left onto Coventry Road. Parking: There is a large parking lot to the right. Or, you may wish to park in the South Garage. Directions
to Thomas J. Dodd Research Center
Follow the general
directions above to the UConn Storrs campus.
At the corner of Route
195 and Mansfield Road (the fifth set of lights), turn right onto
Mansfield Road. At the second stop sign, take a left onto Whitney
Road. The Dodd Research Center will be a few yards ahead on the right.
During the Book Fair, the Dodd Research Center will be open on Saturday from Noon-4 pm.
General Parking:
During evenings and weekends, there are parking spaces in Lot #1 near
the South Campus Complex that are available on a first-come first-served
basis. There are also a limited number of parking spaces along Whitney
Road and in the parking lot behind the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center.

North & South Parking
Garages: For an hourly or daily fee, you may also wish to park
in one of the University's two new parking garages: North & South
Parking Garages. The South Parking Garage, located across from Gampel
Pavilion, is the closest garage to the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center,
the South Campus Complex, and the Rome Commons Ballroom. Pease visit

8:00 am and 5:00 pm weekdays.
Driving Directions to
South Parking Garage from Route 195 South: Turn right at the intersection
of Route 195 South and North Eagleville Road. (The Storrs Congregational
Church will be on your right.) Take the first left onto Glenbrook
Road. At the stop sign, turn left onto Hillside Road. Continue through
the first stop sign. At the second stop sign, turn right onto Stadium
Road. (Gampel Pavilion will be on your right.) The entrance to the
South Parking Garage will be on your left. Please Note: Due to ongoing construction adjacent to the South Parking Garage, please allow extra time for your travels to and from campus.
Walking
Directions on Campus
From South Parking Garage
to South Campus Complex: Exit the South Parking Garage onto Stadium
Road. (Gampel Pavilion will be across the street.) Turn right, walk
down Stadium Road, and proceed to the first stop sign at the intersection
of Stadium and Hillside Roads. (The new UConn Co-op will be on your
immediate right.) At the stop sign, turn right onto Hillside Road
and walk to the next stop sign. Turn left onto Gilbert Road and take
your first right onto Gilbert Road Extension. The South Campus Complex
will be the second building on your right. The Rome Commons Ballroom
is located on the second floor of the building known as Rome Hall.
From South Parking Garage
to Thomas J. Dodd Research Center: Exit
the South Parking Garage onto Stadium Road. (Gampel Pavilion will
be across the street.) Turn right, walk down Stadium Road, and proceed
to the first stop sign at the intersection of Stadium and Hillside
Roads. (The new UConn Co-op will be on your immediate right.) At the
stop sign, walk straight across Hillside Road and continue straight,
passing the new School of Business and the Graduate Dorms. You will
be facing the Whetten Graduate School. Turn right and pass the Whetton
Graduate School. Continue walking straight for a few yards. The rear
entrance to the Dodd Center will be straight ahead.
